A different kind of CV.
Other types of CV.
For my 40th Birthday, 25 of my dearest friends created a piece of writing, combining their views and experiences of me. It gives a consistent perspective on who I am, what I care about and what you can expect from me - as someone who brings all of who they are to everything I do. This 5 minute audio is of my friend Katherine Angel reading it aloud at the gathering. It’s written as text at the bottom of this page.
Here is a more traditional CV, that you can download.
And a blog post that tells the story of my work and how I came to do what I do.

Kindness and constancy
Cassie, knowing you are on my side has been one of the only constants in my life.
You are a thoughtful, caring, quiet friend who listens and is there for me.
Cassie knows you as you are, understands where you have been, accepts what you have become and still gently allows you to grow.
I always feel happier after seeing Cassie and telling her about what is going on in my life.
She is always brimming with generosity and thoughts for how to make people feel valued
Strangely unique
Anne Sexton said that out of old furniture she made a tree. That sounds like something that Cassie would do.
I love Cassie for the way she can reimagine the ordinary.
Cassie combines generosity and grumpiness in a completely unique fashion.
She is provocative and thought-provoking.
She is always happy to explore issues that many people are blind to or scared to face and to do so in an open-minded and inclusive way.
She thinks so hard and cares so little for what other people think of her.
Being in a car with Cassie seems to sum her up - eyes always on the road ahead but she is clever enough to carry on a caring conversation with the person next to her.
Radicality
Cassie will always provide a brilliant counter to the strength of the status quo.
Cassie understands the mesh of life, she sees the bigger vision, she understands people from individuals to institutions and how they all fit together.
I am forever in awe of her ability to see new nodes and to be ballsy as hell, to stir things up and to play with fire.
It’s a privilege to listen to the difficult questions that Cassie asks of herself, of others and of the systems she sees around her.
I am so in awe of her eye as a curator, the images she frames of her world, and her talent for convening extraordinary women.
The way Cassie reads the world is fascinating and exhausting.
In her ideas and her work she is always sensitive, prescient and useful.
She is also mischievous, naughty, sensual, inpatient and fun.
She can be a fucking nightmare to work with.
Multitudes
Cassie has a rare combination of qualities.
She has an ability to reach out and connect.
She models a way of being shy and also gregarious.
Of being connected whilst also being interior, reflective and thoughtful,
She is always so active and committed to the world around her.
She’s impertinent and amicable.
She’s enterprising but gentle.
She’s candid and imaginative.
Sharp and soft.
Passionate and uncertain.
Serious and playful.
She has a glimmer in her eye and a giggle that makes us all feel just a little bit dark.
She is also stunning and smouldering.
And she’s brutally honest.
Friendship
I most admire her fierce loyalty to the idea and practice of friendship.
And the way she offers each of her friends a place to be themselves without judgement.
Cassie invites us to think about what a friendship is, what loyalty is, what community is, and what ties us together.
Cassie is a fun, fabulous, fearsome, forever friend.
